Our community remains a top priority, especially during the uncertain times through 2020. Our team donated 472 meals for Thanksgiving through the Orlando Union Rescue Mission to support their mission and the positive impact they are making during a difficult year.
To help the community ease the burden of poverty and provide resources during hardships, the Altamonte Springs office volunteered to sort clothing donations at The Sharing Center.
The community is extremely important to our company. The Storage Group prides itself on giving back! On the 3rd of April our Altamonte Springs, Florida office had the opportunity to volunteer at the Winter Park Day Nursery where our team assisted in taking care of the children.
Members of The Storage Group volunteered at Catholic Charities of Central Florida by filling food packs with fruit, vegetables, meat, bread, and snacks. These meal-packs will go to Orlando residents who cannot afford to buy groceries. Catholic Charities of Central Florida provides food for anyone in need based on household size.
The Storage Group volunteered with Heart of Florida United Way at The Mustard Sead of Central Florida by helping to sort and organize donations to be distributed to clients in need of home furnishings and clothing. We were able to help alleviate homelessness by indirectly serving those who are in need of basic resources.
Samaritan’s Purse mobilizes staff and equipment then enlists thousands of volunteers to provide emergency aid to victims of natural disasters, including Hurricane Harvey. This trusted nonprofit organization stays behind after initial response teams to help rebuild or restore houses for needy families.
The East Coast team worked on a landscaping project at an Orlando women’s shelter. Even though it was a hot, summer day, the heat didn’t get their spirits down. Members of several departments within The Storage Group came out to assist with the beautification project. With the help of The Storage Group, the women’s shelter has become a more welcoming and safe environment.
Our East Coast office took time to give back to our community by helping to feed homeless families at the Orlando Union Rescue Mission. The Mission provides for immediate physical needs including food, clothing and shelter. However, their programs are designed to lead the homeless to permanent independence through education, stability and training. Please donate to them if you can. – http://www.ourm.org/give/
