Business Development Manager Description
The Storage Group is in search of a Business Development Manager – a “Sales Hunter” who is experienced, a go-getter and who knows how to close the deal. Our company is one of the leading online marketing companies providing services and tools to the Self Storage Industry. The Self Storage Industry is a competitive market and we feel we have the best products and services available and we need someone special to make sales happen. The position responsibilities include discovering and pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating deals and maintaining customer satisfaction. Research, calling, demonstrating products and services by screen share, email and phone are main duties of the position. Working with the marketing team with feedback on lead generation, promotions and more.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sell internet marketing solutions to company owners primarily by phone, email and Web.
Sell SaaS related products
Manage the entire sales cycle by prospecting for clients and lead generation
Conduct phone and web-based presentations, creating proposals and providing pricing to contribute to overall sales goals.
Maintain intimate knowledge of existing product offerings.
Perform out-bound cold calling using lead lists provided and your own research
Maintain detailed records on prospects and follow-ups with potential clients
Develop relationships with owners C-level decision makers, directors, managers of prospective clients and to understand business challenges, concerns, needs and provide solutions.
Potential for future director responsibilities
Maintain regular contact with prospects via phone or meetings
Meet planned quotas for client contact, presentations and sales
Assist Marketing when needed with development of promotional materials
Assist departments with product ideas, feedback sales tools and ideas
Requirements and Qualifications:
Sales Hunter attitude with proven cold calling experience required (*see applicant requirement below)
Proven sales experience as a hIgh sales number producer required (* see applicant requirement below)
Digital Marketing experience required and SaaS sales experience a plus ( *see applicant requirement below)
Associates degree or combination of education and relevant work experience.
Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience cold calling and selling products/services preferably in the internet marketing
Confident, articulate communicator, networker and relationship builder via phone and email
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
Proficient with Microsoft suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Availability/Ability for some occasional travel ( i.e trade shows)
Effectively communicate with Internal teams to collaborate for client needs.
Effective time management, organization with attention to detail and accuracy
Management experience a plus
